Welcome to Ship and a Star!
Founded in 2020 by Melissa Vidito, we initially set sail as a travel blog, on a mission to capture the wonders of exploration and adventure. As our journey progressed, we discovered a vibrant tapestry of interests that inspired us to evolve beyond travel. Today, Ship and a Star proudly encompasses a diverse range of creative endeavors, including event production, theatre, music, and more!
At the heart of our mission is a passion for storytelling and bringing people together through the arts. Our dinner theatre productions have delighted audiences with unique performances such as “The Late Late Late Late Show with Richard Dangles” and the hilarious “Atlantic Buffoon’s Christmas Vacation.” We also celebrate the power of music through our cabarets, featuring shows like “Songs of the Silver Screen” and “Soul Sisters: A Cabaret.”
In addition to our theatrical pursuits, Melissa is an active musician, performing solo, and with her bands The Melberns, Soul Sisters and Bluesmobile. With a love for music that runs deep, she also offers music lessons, helping aspiring musicians unlock their potential and find their unique voices.
Whether you’re a lover of theatre, music, or simply seeking inspiration for your next event, Ship and a Star aims to create memorable experiences that resonate with our audience. Join us as we continue to explore new horizons and share our love for the arts!
Thank you for being part of our journey. We can’t wait to share our next adventure with you!
